WWF World Wide Fund for Nature chooses Procano

WWF World Wildlife Fund chooses Procano as the complete provider for its IT environment.

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is one of the world's largest and most respected independent environmental organizations, with a presence in around 100 countries and nearly 6000 employees worldwide. The organization works to slow climate change, stop the loss of species and nature, and protect the earth's resources.

The Norwegian branch, WWF World Wildlife Fund, was founded in 1970 and is an independent foundation. It is linked to the global WWF network through common strategic goals and guidelines, and currently has around 70 employees. In Norway, WWF works to preserve natural values and biodiversity by influencing Norwegian environmental policy and legislation.

Full responsibility for IT operations and security

– WWF has just completed a thorough process of selecting a new supplier for IT operations services and consulting. Procano was a natural choice due to solid expertise and a very professional approach to IT operations and security, their approach to user interaction, competitive terms, and their forward-looking approach to sustainability. We have also received very positive feedback on Procano from their existing customers, whom we have selected for reference ourselves. WWF looks forward to a close and important collaboration with Procano, which we are convinced will contribute to an efficient and seamless total IT delivery, enabling WWF to achieve more nature and climate results, says Tim Enebakk, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at WWF World Wildlife Fund.

Procano will function as the IT department of WWF World Wildlife Fund in Norway, with full responsibility for security, productivity, and efficiency at all levels. Procano's ambition for the collaboration is, as always, for the customer's relationship with IT to be as uncomplicated and seamless as possible, in a secure and cost-effective manner. This allows WWF World Wildlife Fund to focus on what they do best: creating a future where people live in harmony with nature.

– It means a lot to us to be the IT provider for WWF. Procano has been a certified Eco-Lighthouse company since 2010, because we want to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable business. Our planet is under tremendous pressure, and WWF is an organization dedicated to the sustainable existence of nature and civilization within the planet's carrying capacity. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. To give our children and the future a chance, everyone has a responsibility, including individuals, governments, and businesses, says Jørgen Berg, CEO of Procano, with a smile.
